You punched a rat in Morrowind and didn't hit even though you physically kept whaling on that rat - sounds lame but I understood my attributes were insufficently high to connect so I accepted that and moved on. I think the main difference is I was content with the RGP-ey, dicey way Morrowind and Witcher 1 handled combat. I quit Witcher 3 20h in because the combat was so shit I couldn't stomach it. Surely, Witcher 3's interactive combat should satisfy me more than that mundane reaction test in W1? Well, it didn't at all. Oblivion though? Supposedly improved combat that I found awful. I adored Morrowind and found its combat a non-factor to my fun - I understand why people find it horrid but it didn't bother me at all. I liked Witcher 2 too but that is beside the point. Yeah, I know I'm beating a dead horse with slamming Witcher 3's combat but allow me to view this matter from a possibly different angle.
