The question is, how high exactly should I increase them, both to keep in line with the fiction I want, and to not completely trivialize the early game for myself? Again, I'd like to get as close to what I've always perceived as the Dragonborn's starting level of strength in vanilla as possible, someone who's far from a master at anything, but has a few adventures under their belt and knows how to handle themselves. Personally, I'd rather be the former than the latter, so I was thinking of using a little console magic to bump up some of my starting skills to reflect my character's greater experience. There's just one thing about it that niggles at me: in vanilla Skyrim, it's always been my impression that your character starts out a fairly competent adventurer, while Requiem seems to favor starting you off as an ordinary commoner with no real adventuring skills at all. The centerpiece of it is Requiem, which overall I'm really impressed with. So after some tinkering and several restarts (I'm pretty sure I could recite every line of dialogue in the intro by heart at this point), I think I've finally settled on a mod loadout for Skyrim that does everything I want it to.

Much of the game revolves around chasing his trail from one place to another before a final confrontation. The obligatory evil arch rival comes in the form of the Shadow Jumper, who's intent on taking over the world. There's also a group awareness function which makes your characters more aware of danger, and a new pack mule which helps you in battle, instead of just hanging about carrying your stuff. New features include improved inventory management and a new half-giant character. This means you're starting a new game from scratch, even though the storyline itself takes over where the original game left off. The only real disappointment if you've completed the main campaign is there's no way to import your high-level character into the expansion, which means you have to start all over from level one and work your way up. The new landscapes are as pretty and detailed as the old, the combat is still hectic but very smooth, and with the lack of any real Dungeon Siege total conversions, Legends has come along at just the right time. Generally, I don't care for any Keyboard tracking with basses. Also, I'll increase the keyboard tracking to 35% (KBD Track). I'll also change the Filter Mode to LP 12. By pushing the cutoff range, we'll get a nice bounce, once we add in the filter envelope. We'll give it a fair amount of Resonance, as well, 68%, as a matter of fact. This will assist in giving up that murky, JP-esque bass sound that will flutter in the background. In the filter section, I'll lower the Cutoff down to 29%. This will spread the bass out, and give your true bass synth, and kick drum some breathing room! If you're considering using an arp bass as more of a mid-range filler instrument, I'd recommend adding in some unison panning. CJ is saved up near the sky doors so you don't need to figure out how to get up there. I tried to add some vehicles but for some reason they won't spawn way up there. The sky doors I could access are marked with yellow radar blips. Sometimes these objects intersect with the interiors but I was trying to use as few objects as possible. In the saves linked below, objects (runways and ramps) are placed so CJ has something to walk on to reach the doors. I modified a save to make accessing the "Sky Doors" above Fort Carson a bit easier. This tool provides the opportunity to use a variety of shapes while cutting. Most of what I know just comes from watching YouTube videos and reading Wikipedia," Anand_G told me. Image credit: Anand_Gĭeemed The Hallowscript, the fans designed a language almost completely from scratch - complete with sets of rules on how to write it. Reddit users Anand_G, The_Dialog_Box and ThePawnOfOthers (along with a team of Hollow Knight enthusiasts) took it upon themselves to draw up an entire alphabet inspired by the game's designs. A lore tablet from Greenpath on the left, and Fungal Wastes on the right. These lore tablets can be found all over Hallownest, and their designs can vary greatly from location to location, indicating different dialects for different regions.īut for some Hollow Knight fans, the gibberish just wasn't enough. There are hints at written language in Hollow Knight as well, in the form of glowing lore tablets. You punched a rat in Morrowind and didn't hit even though you physically kept whaling on that rat - sounds lame but I understood my attributes were insufficently high to connect so I accepted that and moved on. I think the main difference is I was content with the RGP-ey, dicey way Morrowind and Witcher 1 handled combat. I quit Witcher 3 20h in because the combat was so shit I couldn't stomach it. Surely, Witcher 3's interactive combat should satisfy me more than that mundane reaction test in W1? Well, it didn't at all. Oblivion though? Supposedly improved combat that I found awful. I adored Morrowind and found its combat a non-factor to my fun - I understand why people find it horrid but it didn't bother me at all. I liked Witcher 2 too but that is beside the point. Yeah, I know I'm beating a dead horse with slamming Witcher 3's combat but allow me to view this matter from a possibly different angle. |
